After grading Iowa with an "F" in government spending transparency with our report Following the Money: How States Rank in Providing Public Access to Government Spending Data, Iowa PIRG worked to bring Iowa into the 21st century of government transperency of the public purse. During the 2011 legislative session, Iowa's decision-makers agreed to develop a website that will provide Iowans with the ability to easily find out exactly how our tax dollars are being spent, and whether or not we're getting a good bang for our buck. The government transparency website is scheduled to go live in 2013. Stay tuned for updates!
